The property is situated in countryside known as the Marches de Bretagne, near to the border with Normandy. It is about 5 km from the Couesnon valley, popular with walkers and cyclists.
The property is central to many historical places of interest as well as being within easy distance of the North Brittany and Southern Normandy beaches. There are excellent road links to the impressive Le Mont St Michel (25km), Fougeres (25km), Rennes (50km) and the ferry ports of St Malo (57km), Caen (153km) and Cherbourg (187km). The airports at Rennes and Dinard provide links to most of the U.K. It is about 7km from the A84 motorway.
The village of St Ouen La Rouerie is about 3km from the farmhouse and gites.It is a small village with a bar,restaurant, school and church.The Chateau de La Rouerie opens to the public, with gardens and an animal park. The larger village of St Brice en Cogles, about 7km from the property, has a large supermarket,2 very good boulangeries a number of shops bars and restaurants, a hotel as well as a newly built public swimming pool. The surrounding towns and villages hold regular markets selling local produce and a number of Fetes are held throughout the year.
Farmhouse
