Marseillan Village is a place many people fall in love with. It is beautifully situated with its port on a coastal lagoon, the Étang de Thau, at the end of the Canal du Midi and just 5km from Marseillan Plage, the Mediterranean, and a Blue Flag sandy beach.
Inland, the Parc Naturel Regional of Haut Languedoc and the village of St Guilhem de Désert, part of a Compostella Pilgrim Route, with it’s spectacular surrounding scenery are a short drive away.
Agde, Sete, Pezenas, Beziers, Nîmes and Montpellier are all within easy reach whilst the Carmargue, Avignon, Arles, Narbonne and Carcassonne are possible day trips and well worth the drive.
Walkers, cyclists, sailors and birdwatchers will find plenty to occupy themselves.
Unlike many coastal villages and towns, Marseillan Village does not shut down when the tourist season ends and it has many good restaurants which remain open all year.
