Property Description
Set in a quiet cul de sac up the hill from the village of Pentrez, this large comfortable house has great views over the Baie de Douarnenez and Pentrez beach. The Sunday Times ranked Pentrez Plage in their top 30 beach holidays in Europe.
Only 300m walk down to the long sandy beach at Pentrez. The beach is perfect for children with its gently shelving sandy beach, rock pools at low tide, body boarding and surfing. There are a number of water sports available including a kite surfing school and sand sailing.
The French describe this area as 'where the mountains meet the sea' and whichever direction you go from the house, there are fantastic walks, scenery and places to visit. If you are not familiar with the area, the best way to describe it, is it's like Cornwall without the people, a fraction of the price but with the same fabulous beaches and coastlines.
The house is spacious and because it is set on three floors with two lounge areas, it never seems crowded. The top two floor has 2 very large double bedrooms both with exposed beams and views over the bay. There is also a bathroom with WC.
There is a lounge on the first floor with a south facing balcony running the length of the house with those fabulous views. There are a further 3 bedrooms, one with double French doors looking out to sea and with access to the balcony. The other two bedrooms are set up as a twin and a twin bunk with views over the bay. There is a bathroom and separate WC. The main external access is also on this floor and from the hallway there are stairs down to the ground floor.
The ground floor has an open plan lounge, kitchen and dining room with two double French doors leading out to the south facing garden. There is access to the large garage which runs along the side of the house.
The garden to the front of the property is south facing. It has a patio and is then laid to lawn. There is also a small front garden.
The house has been successfully used as holiday let for many years as well as providing many memorable family holidays. It could of course be used as a home or would make a perfect B and B given its size and scope to convert the garage as well as room for a third bedroom on the top floor.
