Property Description

Overview
Unique 18th century home in southwest France, this property was restored around 20 years ago by a former owner who had what must have been a limitless budget.

It is extraordinary how the attention to detail has been carried through both properties which now complement each other - there is literally no other house like it in the Gironde. This 5-bedroom house is in excellent condition and in an enviable location nestled amongst the Bordelaise vineyards.

The natural stone arches in the kitchen and lounge are a particular feature, the house has 4 stone fire places with a particularly fine example in the master bedroom, a beautiful stone staircase to the first floor with hand made wrought iron balustrading and brass hand rail.

The main house faces southeast overlooking the gardens towards the heated pool and beautiful natural stone terrace. The independent 3 bedroom Gite is fully air-conditioned and set away from the main house, affording privacy for all. It has a covered terrace which overlooks an orchard with a variety of fruit trees.

Location
Just 15 minutes from Saint Emilion and 5 minutes south of the Dordogne River on the heights of the Entre Deux Mers - this property is perfectly situated. Close to a small town with all amenities including a new medical centre, all under 5 minutes by car.

This is a food and wine lovers haven, completely surrounded by vineyards in which you will be spoiled for choice, great restaurants including a Michelin starred Restaurant just five minutes away on the banks of the river. Through the summer months the local Bastide towns have night markets where you can spend the evening enjoying local food, wine, listen to live music with dancing too.
