Outside there is a lovely enclosed courtyard garden with various cosy seating and dining areas. The swimming pool is 3 x 5m. There is also off-street car parking for 2 cars. The house is situated in a quiet, private spot yet close to all the amenities.
The village is a busy little place and, although I haven’t been myself yet, I’m particularly keen to visit the local watering-hole/ pizzeria L’Idiot du Village, and meet the patron. Day-to-day supplies are available in the village and Carcassonne is 15 mins away for all amenities.
Capendu is in a great location for exploring. The river Aude lies to the north - perfect picnics and river dipping and the Sentier Botanique de l’Alaric hiking area lies just to the south.
