Chatelus Malvaleix's main attraction in summer is the fresh water swimming lake with beach, lifeguard, beach bar offering drinks, ice creams and snacks, children's play park, free tennis, free showers and WC, free table tennis, and beautiful country walks all around. Truthfully, it is quite special. It is not advertised, as used by the locals, so it is never too busy, but there is still plenty of room on the grass verges for relaxing and sun bathing. The other main swimming, fishing etc area close by is the area of the 3-lakes, with lots to do and only around 35 mins away.
